Danvers is not a town in New Hampshire, but rather a town in Massachusetts. Danvers, Massachusetts is located in Essex County and has a population of approximately 30,000 people. The town is known to have a rich history, particularly linked to the Salem Witch Trials, as a number of accused witches were from Danvers in the late 17th century. The town is also home to the Danvers State Hospital, which was a mental institution opened in the late 19th century and closed in 1992. Today, the hospital is abandoned but still a popular site for ghost hunters and urban explorers. The town is easily accessible as it is located near several major highways including Routes 1, 95, and 128.
